Score, direction, and confidence
Why are three readings better than one mysterious number?
- The score describes the current composite state under one versioned method.
- Direction describes whether that state is strengthening, holding, thinning, or draining.
- Confidence describes coverage, freshness, agreement, and missing inputs. It is not folded into the market state.
Read the current Waterline header and restate its score, direction, confidence, observation time, and method version as separate fields.
