What Bathymark can see
Bathymark uses free, keyless, official, or publicly accessible sources for crypto liquidity and market context. Public access is not treated as an open licence. Every source has a narrow job, a visible evidence limit, and a separate access and rights record.

Publish-ready reads need more than a provider label.
Each source gets a narrow job. A source can support one field while leaving another field unknown.
No fake, demo, localhost, or placeholder URLs.
Bathymark review date is separate from source publication date.
The status tells the reader how much the source can carry.
Backing, supply, issuer, redemption, price, or method.
Limits are part of the source trail.
Public, key-required, member, paid, manual, or private.
Open terms, reference-only terms, permission, unknown, or blocked.
A citation, runtime read, cache, export, or model-training job has a distinct scope.
Source material and derived observations do not share one permission.
Derived output does not grant raw-feed redistribution rights.
Pending and partial records cannot approve a new rights-gated use.

The expansion queue is intentionally abundant but gated. Runtime means active now. Source-only and manual-source can improve synthesis without becoming raw feeds. Key-required, terms-pending, and blocked sources cannot enter public runtime until the guardrails clear.

Source rule
We do not build on a feed whose terms forbid the product we are shipping. Where a provider allows display with attribution but forbids resale, we display derived readings and avoid re-serving the raw feed.
The rights contract is additive. It does not rewrite an established market read as unavailable merely because a retrospective review is pending. The register does not itself prove that every legacy adapter invoked the gate. New rights-gated ingestion, source-material cache, export, software, and model-training work must carry an exact reviewed contract and call the source-use gate before release.
Why open data is enough
Bathymark's moat is not secret data access. It is selection, synthesis, ranking, plain-language explanation, and the habit of stating limits. Read the wider strategy in methodology.
