How should I compare a quoted exit with a reference price?
Price impact is not market value
Use the same asset, route, notional, unit, and observation time. A point-in-time quote can show size-dependent execution pressure, while market value cannot.
10,000 × |quoted execution ratio at size ÷ small same-route reference ratio − 1|Use only quotes from the same route and fixed observation block. Keep external reference divergence separate.
What would change this reading?
- A new fixed-block quote with materially different route liquidity.
- A route, pool, fee tier, or token-decimal correction.
- Evidence that the displayed reference or calibration quote is stale or incomparable.
