Two rankings, one map
The chain ranking shows where reported USD TVL is attributed by ecosystem. The protocol ranking shows where it is attributed by venue. Reading both together separates chain-level scale from venue-level concentration without treating either as exit liquidity.
What TVL can and cannot say
TVL is useful because it is broadly available and comparable within a defined source method. It cannot prove new users arrived, cannot separate deposits from token-price movement by itself, and does not measure executable exit depth. Bathymark keeps those caveats visible.
