country evidence atlas
Crypto has geography. The proof does not travel cleanly.
Thirty-three market reference points, one inspectable world. Adoption, exchanges, mining, stablecoins, and regulation stay in separate evidence lanes because venue location is not user residence, and a licence is not a flow.
Addresses and transactions do not contain reliable residence by default. Venue location, web traffic, licensing, mining registration, and user location are different claims.
A reported model, not a census. It estimates country activity using on-chain data, service attribution, web traffic, GDP per capita weighting, and a methodology that changed in 2025. VPN use and service attribution can affect geography. Bathymark does not ingest or republish the underlying feed.
The monitor reports ETP host-market context from cited third-party market data. It does not measure resident ownership, grassroots adoption, exchange use, or current country flows.
Authorisation and notification context is not a measure of users, transaction value, market depth, product quality, or consumer safety. The register updates on a weekly cycle and national records can lead it.
Project participation documents institutional tokenisation experiments. It does not measure retail crypto adoption, venue depth, stablecoin use, or production deployment.
The official licensing context identifies a regulated mining industry. It does not provide a current share of global hashrate or prove mining output, profitability, or energy mix.
questions this map can answer
Read the claim before the flag.
Which country has the most crypto adoption?
The cited Chainalysis 2025 model ranks India first and the United States second. Bathymark presents those as source-reported estimates, not a census or its own score.
Does the map show where crypto money is moving?
No. Country markers show evidence records. They do not show capital flows, resident ownership, exchange volume, or wallet location unless a named source directly supports that claim.
Why are some countries included without an adoption rank?
They have a useful official market-infrastructure record, such as a venue register, ETP host-market context, a service-provider framework, or mining licensing. Those signals stay separate from adoption.
